The Sales Engineer supports the I&C Sales Managers in their efforts to meet financial objectives established for the I&C Business Segment product portfolios including but not limited to Margin As-Sold, Order Entry, and opportunity pipeline growth.  Contributes to the overall capture strategy, offer development and contract negotiations.  Provides tracking and reporting on sales information.  Follows up with clients regarding offers submitted and provides feedback to the Sales team and business segment managers.  


This is a Remote opportunity within the United States.


Your Day to Day:

  • Support the opportunity development sales funnel process from identification through offer development and contract closure.
  • Use the customer relationship management tool to manage the Orders Entered pipeline and associated actions to achieve target objectives.
  • Develop and maintain critical working relationships with internal and external customer personnel up to and including senior manager to director level.  Understands the customer’s objectives, and expectations thoroughly, including utility economics and articulates this internally for offer / proposal development.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of Westinghouse products/services. 
  • Participate in implementation of complex sales strategies.
  • Support development of offers, contributes to identification of risk and risk mitigation measures, supports management of RFPs, opportunities, proposal development and proposal delivery; supports risk reviews and development of pricing strategies.
  • Facilitate and drive the development and implementation of value-adding, comprehensive solutions to client issues.

Who You Are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent related technical discipline.  
  • 8+ years’ experience in sales techniques, product line/marketing or projects organizations is required.  
    • Previous customer-oriented experience highly desirable.  
    • Knowledge of I&C systems, business unit products, services, commercial operations, financial planning and strategic objectives.
    • Field experience highly valued.
