About the role:

As a Health Physics/Radiation Protection intern, you will ensure a radiologically and industrially safe working environment for our employees.

 

You will report to the Global Radiation Protection Manager in Corporate EHS. This is a paid full-time remote position for the summer, May - August 2027. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • You will perform Health Physics/Radiation Safety audits at our radioactive materials sites
  • You will identify improvements in Corporate Radiological Protection procedures and guides
  • You will work on projects using software packages such as CAP-88, NRCDose, etc.
  • You will help implement program improvements at our radioactive materials sites
  • You will work with the communications team to author, revise, and publish radiological risk communications documents.

 

Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree or master's degree in health physics required
  • Experience with radiological regulatory requirements
  • Completed Sophomore year of college
  • Interested in a career supporting nuclear power after graduation
  • Willingness to travel to a Westinghouse site on occasion

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The hourly rate for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $23.00 to $26.30 per hour.
