About the role:
As a Functional Excellence Team Manager you will lead a team of professionals dedicated to the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of tools and processes that enhance operational efficiency and business performance. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills, technical acumen, and a passion for innovation and process excellence.
You will report to the Senior Director, Energy Systems Account Management & Procurement Execution. This position has the opportunity to be remote.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing functional team.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Set clear goals, monitor performance, and provide regular feedback.
- Tool & Process Development
- Oversee the design, development, and deployment of tools and systems to support business operations.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation.
- Ensure tools and processes are scalable, user-friendly, and aligned with business needs.
- Project Management Toolkit definition and implementation for supporting the Execution team
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and ensure alignment.
- Act as a liaison between technical teams and business units.
- Communicate project status, risks, and outcomes to stakeholders and leadership.
- Project & Change Management
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and quality outcomes.
- Drive change management initiatives to support adoption of new tools and processes.
- Monitor KPIs and metrics to assess impact and drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or related field.
- 10+ years pf proven experience in team leadership, process improvement, or tool development.
- Strong understanding of process design methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
- Familiarity with software development lifecycle and project management tools.
- Experience with Agile or Scrum methodologies preferred.
- Knowledge of data analytics and visualization tools (e.g., Mircrosoft Office Suite, Power BI, Tableau) preferred.
- Technical proficiency in scripting or automation tools (e.g., Python, VBA, RPA) preferred.
We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $126,000 to $157,500 per year.
