This position will be based in the San Luis Obispo County, California area.


The Alliance Manager - Diablo Canyon will be reporting to the assigned Account Executive, effectively manage and serve as the primary point of contact for Alliance affairs.  Acting as a liaison to and between the Alliance Executive Leadership, Alliance Steering Committee and key stakeholder and contributors through both WEC and customer organizations.  The Alliance Manager will maintain cognizance of all Alliance Work (Fuels, Engineering, Services, etc) ensuring work is authorized and implemented appropriately while incorporating lessons learned into the overall work plan.  Alliance Manager will also provide oversight of the initiatives and activities adopted by the Alliance Steering Committee, including facilitation of Steering Committee meetings, offer letter reviews, development of strategic plans, adoption of innovation and support resolving / escalation of issues in accordance with the Alliance Agreement.


Your Day to Day:

  • Implement standards contained in Westinghouse “Codes of Business Ethics & Conduct”.  Ensure that all employees reporting to this position are informed about the standards and related policies and enforce them within this supervised activity.
  • Engage with Station Leadership at all levels supporting day-to-day alliance activities and engagement.  Including but not limited to attending various meetings such as Station Leadership Staff Meetings, PHC Meetings, Outage Planning, Issue Management, etc.
  • Responsible for building and maintaining strong customer relationships at all levels within the site organization through effective and productive communications with various customer levels and management while being an active member of the leadership team.  
  • Oversee the implementation of the PG&E / Westinghouse Alliance Agreement 
  • Provide oversight and support for Alliance scope execution at Diablo Canyon
  • Support Account Executive to develop overall customer strategy and account plan that addresses all aspects of the customer relationship.
  • Requires ability to influence others to accept practices and approaches, and ability to communicate and influence executive leadership.
  • Support Sales and BU’s in the development and implementation of capture plans for specific opportunities that address customer needs, facilitates access to company resources while ensuring Company expectations are met in a timely manner.
  • Build valuable consultative relationships and establish a deep understanding of site-specific needs to enhance Westinghouse's position as premier value-added supplier. 
  • As needed, Lead resolution of customer issues and commercial disputes.
  • Support update and maintenance of Customer Relations Management tool (D365)


Who You Are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent related technical discipline.
  • Experience in nuclear plant engineering, fuel engineering, project and resource management, and direct customer interface typically acquired through 10 years of progressively more responsible positions. Previous management experience is highly desired. Field experience highly valued.
