This position is hybrid in nature requiring 2 days/week on-site at the Westinghouse Global Headquarters facility in Cranberry Woods, PA in the Greater Pittsburgh Area.  We are able to entertain all candidates authorized to work without sponsorship now and in the future as we are unable to sponsor Visa's for this opportunity.

 

Your Day-to-Day:

  • Lead key process optimization programs in support of the GECS vision of paperless automated engineering processes.
  • Provide underlying technologies and tools in support of optimization and automation goals.  This includes both development of the internal software platforms as well as selection of the external tools to be integrated into a holistic approach.
  • Lead, guide, and mentor the staff who perform the development of the internal software platform and the integration of the external tools.  Work with team to develop training programs/materials in support of the software developer career path.
  • Lead the overall technology investment decisions for the engineering optimization and automation tools and processes, including IPC, Capital, and Innovation programs.
  • Support product marketing opportunities and customer partnerships leveraging the optimized engineering tools and processes.
  • Influence industry direction and establishment of standards to align with the Westinghouse approach to optimization and automation processes and tools.

 

Who You Are:
As a successful candidate, you will bring the following to the team:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in civil, electrical, mechanical, or nuclear engineering. Strong preference for master’s degree in computer science or software engineering, or equivalent training and experience.
  • 10+ years of diverse nuclear industry experience.
  • 10+ years of experience leading the development of technologies and tools in support of engineering process optimization and automation.
  • 10+ years of experience with software tools and processes.
  • Demonstrated record of technical leadership within Westinghouse.
