About the role:
As a Customer Quality Engineer, you will lead others in quality assurance and technical responsibilities to ensure both internally and externally provided nuclear fuel products meet the quality and technical requirements defined by Westinghouse. The primary focus will be to manage teams in the development and formal problem resolution strategies for complex nuclear fuel products and projects to support customers contractual requirements.
You will report to the Senior Director, Additive Manufacturing and Quality, and can be remote.
Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate customer nonconformance management to provide a consistent approach in front of the customer concerning all quality contractual aspects.

Guide communication between Global Manufacturing sites to identify any potential need for quality and technical coordination when a new customer nonconformance matter occurs.

Lead main coordination and management of nonconformance matters for fuel projects that have an impact on multiple Westinghouse sites.

Share best practices and lessons learned between Global Manufacturing sites including specifics on abnormal situations, compilation of reports, and management of corrective and preventive actions.

Operate as lead on the implementation of customer requirements into product and process documentation which concern product quality.

Support compilations of new editions or new revisions of site-specific templates and procedures related to nonconformance management based on the general documents and procedures.

Perform product and quality document management activities to ensure that all documents involved in customer nonconformance management are compiled according to the contractual requirements including submittal.

Be the lead customer quality interface to ensure technical and quality performance data is presented and understood by the customer.

Operate as lead in the process and product qualification who coordinates customer specific requirements amongst multiple sites and supply chain to ensure contractual requirements are met.

Provide technical and quality input to ensure the required Manufacturing/Qualification & Quality Plans developed for the customer are compliant with contractual requirements.
Qualifications:
-
A bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline

5+ years of supplier oversight experience

Working knowledge and application with US NRC Regulations and European Standards such as 10CFR50 Appendix B and 10CFR21; and national consensus standards of quality assurance, such as ISO-19443, ASME NQA-1 ESPN, RCC-C, ISO 9001, ISO 9712, ISO 90003 and Appendices, ANSI N45.2 and the daughter standards, IEEE Standards. Familiarity with NDE techniques and applicable practices such as SNT-TC-1A, ESPN / RCC.

5+ years of experience leading teams of engineers/ project managers/ quality leads/ contract managers.

Apply analytical techniques to identify deviations, provide trend data, and suggest recommended solutions to high significance and complex quality issues.

Valid passport (or ability to obtain one) is required, as is ability to travel internationally for periods of up to three weeks.

The position requires 10-15 % travel.
We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $116,800 to $146,000 per year.
