If this sounds like an environment you would thrive in, we have an exciting opportunity for a Customer Solutions Engineering Intern with our AP1000 Engineered Solutions team.
Your Day-to-Day:
Support the AP1000 Customer Solutions department staff in understanding customer needs and helping to draft proposals for engineering improvements to the AP1000® Plant design.
- Identify and Collect engineering improvements and optimizations
- Support engineering activities to aggregate product financials as well as regular financial forecasting.
- Support engineering activities to develop resource demand signal for GOS engineering and manufacturing.
- Support project teams to understand status of projects, supporting resolution of challenges during project execution
- Assist in classifying intellectual property (IP) and evaluating the risk of release to external stakeholders (e.g., customers, 3rd parties).
- Collaborate with global product management on product strategy, product roadmaps, technology roadmaps, innovation ideas, etc.
Who You Are:
As a successful candidate, you will bring the following to the team:
- Pursuing Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering Required (other Engineering disciplines will not be considered for our Electrical Engineering Intern Positions).
- Minimum GPA of 3.0 strongly preferred.
- US Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Completion of Sophomore year college by May 2025
Desired Skills:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong time management skills (Working to a deadline while balancing multiple tasks).
- Be able to resolve complex problems.
- Be detail oriented.
- Experience with MathCad, MATLAB, or VBA
- Familiarity with the nuclear power plant designs for operating PWR and BWRs or advanced reactors or AP1000.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Software Suite
- Highly Motivated with a desire to learn and continually develop
