About the role:

As a Customer Solutions intern you will support the AP1000 Customer Solutions department staff in understanding customer needs and helping to draft proposals for engineering improvements to the AP1000® Plant design.

You will report to the AP1000 Director and be located at our Cranberry location. This is a paid full-time hybrid summer position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify and Collect engineering improvements and optimizations
• Support engineering activities to aggregate product financials and regular financial forecasting
• Support engineering activities to develop resource demand signal for engineering and manufacturing
• Support project teams to understand status of projects, supporting resolution of challenges during project execution
• Assist in classifying intellectual property (IP) and evaluating the risk of release to external partners (e.g., customers, 3rd parties)
• Collaborate with global product management on product strategy, product roadmaps, technology roadmaps, and innovation ideas

Qualifications:

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering required
• Minimum GPA of 3.0
• US Citizen or Permanent Resident
• Complete Sophomore year of college
• Experience with MathCad, MATLAB, or VBA
• Familiarity with the nuclear power plant designs for operating PWR and BWRs or advanced reactors or AP1000
• No relocation assistance provided
