Delivery Stream Engineer

About the role:

As a Delivery Stream Engineer, APX Supply Chain, WBS 9 Electrical Equipment you will be responsible for verifying quality and technical requirements for projects, products, and service deliveries for Westinghouse – from the bid phase and component design through manufacturing and delivery. Support the evaluation of new and existing suppliers as requested by the Delivery Stream Manager to include preparing customer communications, support management of multiple projects and reporting for opportunities related to AP1000, AP300, and other products within the APX Supply Chain Portfolio.

You will report to the Delivery Stream, AP1000 WBS7/8/9/11 and be located at the Cranberry Township, PA office on a hybrid basis.  No relocation will be provided for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supplier Assessment:

  • Support Supplier Identification and down selection.

  • Support completion of Supplier Audits and Technical Evaluations (as needed).

  • Support completion of NDA/PIA negotiations (as needed).

  • Support Request for Quotation (RFQ) package creation (i.e., draft SAP requisition for RFQ including all technical and quality requirements).

  • Schedule and support Supplier Design Proposal / Compliance Matrix review meetings.

• Supplier Oversight:

  • Support creating the Manufacturing and Process Plan estimates for use in design option selection or validation of cost and schedule.

  • Support coordination and execution of Supplier Oversight Quality Assurance (QA) Technical Witness and Hold Points.

  • Support the project management team to interface with Supplier Quality support organizations.

• Supplier Development & Management:

  • Create Agendas and support Kick-Off meetings with Suppliers.

  • Schedule and support regularly scheduled meetings (e.g., bi-weekly, weekly, etc.) with Supplier and Westinghouse Project Support Team Members.

  • Support Westinghouse Project Support Team Execution.

  • Support execution of required Supplier QA Witness and Hold Points.

  • Schedule and support pre-job briefs and/or kick-off meetings for important/critical PO manufacturing activities.

  • Support Purchase Order (PO) Change Notices (as needed).ü Provide periodic Project Schedule Updates.

  • Provide input for periodic Customer Status Updates.

  • Ensure all required Supplier PO scope is complete, including fabrication, testing and documentation.

  • Ensure the Westinghouse Quality Release (QR) has been completed to support shipment.

  • Ensure the QR and associated Quality Assurance Data Package (QADP) have been archived in PRIME.

  • Send QR/QADP to the site or customer (as defined by the project) after it has been archived in PRIME to aid in receipt and turnover of equipment.

  • Work with Westinghouse Logistics to arrange for shipment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Engineering.

• Willingness to travel to support emergent project issues/supplier development.

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $58,400 to $73,000 per year.
