The Director, ES Sales and Marketing – Utilities & Industry will be responsible to develop opportunities and drive North American Energy Systems customers to front end engineering and design contracts and eventual reactor delivery contracts.  This individual is responsible for leading cross functional efforts in developing the capture strategy working with the technical, contracts and licensing team from the identification of an opportunity through negotiation and finalization of contracts.  This individual has overall accountability for maintaining a sales pipeline committed to meet Energy Systems objectives which includes the identification and development of opportunities to increase Westinghouse’s market share in existing and potential future markets.


Your Day to Day:


Energy Systems Business/Market Development

  • Marketing/Branding
    • Support introductory presentations, conferences and other opportunities to support advanced reactors marketing to international markets and non-university
    • Support communications and marketing team to developed focused eVinci and other Advanced Reactors materials for enhancement of the Westinghouse brand and technology recognition
    • Support identification and development of press releases and other external communications


Advanced Reactors Support

  • Support Advanced Reactors Business Development Team
    • Coordinate with and provide backup support as needed to extended teams
    • Ensure synergies in sales, marketing and communication approach with US/Canada industrial customers
    • Understand and engage in indigenous/native relations building
    • Support proposals and DOE RFI/FOA responses
  • Support SMR, Energy Storage and other Energy Systems technologies
    • Articulate value proposition at a high level for suite of Energy Systems product portfolio


Who You Are:

  • Bachelors of Science Degree in Engineering or other technical related area
  • Typically, 5-10+ years professional experience in combination of Marketing/Sales, Projects, Strategic Programs and/or Stakeholder Management.   
  • Proven ability to work and multi-task under pressure, respond quickly to changing situations in complex project environments, prepare responses/narrative quickly and build organization relationships.
  • Strong analytical thinking capability and business development acumen.
  • General knowledge of North American nuclear industry and related associations. 
  • Knowledge of team building, planning techniques, business management principles and practices.
  • Experience in developing and successfully implementing stakeholder engagement plans.
  • Experience in marketing and branding, coordinating internal, external & virtual engagement efforts
  • Experience organizing initiatives and leading commercialization strategies.
  • Good interpersonal and networking skills, highly articulate team player.
  • General knowledge of related plant operations and designs
  • Sales related experience and/or education
