This position is hybrid in nature requiring 2 days/week on-site at the Westinghouse Global Headquarters facility in Cranberry Woods, PA in the Greater Pittsburgh Area.  No relocation will be provided for this position.  We are able to entertain all candidates authorized to work without sponsorship now and in the future as we are unable to sponsor Visa's for this opportunity.

Your Day-to-Day:

  • Implement standards contained in Westinghouse "Codes of Business Ethics & Conduct." Ensure that all employees reporting to this position are informed about the standards and related policies, and enforce them within this supervised activity.  Ensuring appropriate human resources are assigned to implement customer projects.
  • Managing and allocating resources and materials to support customer projects.
  • Providing technical support for product development, project implementation, marketing, and sales.
  • Providing adequately trained and qualified resources to implement standard programs / projects.
  • Assuring safety, health and regulatory compliance at Westinghouse sites.
  • Implementing personnel performance improvement and skills development process to assure Westinghouse competitiveness.
  • Managing people development activities to ensure transfer and utilization of critical skills.
  • Developing appropriate training and qualification programs to support ongoing staff development, in conjunction with Product Managers and other Resource Managers.
  • Developing and executing resource deployment plans.
  • Developing both internal and external customer relationships.
  • Ensure the performance of work activities in accordance with established Westinghouse procedures
  • Ensure that projects are aligned with department and business unit objectives.
  • Oversee the development of process documentation useful to the organization.
  • Routine and frequent communication with all levels of management.

 

Who You Are:
As a successful candidate, you will bring the following to the team:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline required.
  • Minimum 10 years of strong and progressively more responsible leadership experience required.
  • Experience managing engineering teams is preferred.
  • Knowledge of and experience with Legacy Westinghouse and AP1000 preferred
  • Professional Engineer or P-Eng Preferred 
  • Experience with negotiations, persuasion, listening, and people development skills is essential.
  • Ability to engage customers to promote group products and services.
  • Effective oral and written communication with internal and external customers and engineering groups.
  • Solid understanding of high technology products and systems.
  • Ability to gather and analyze input, evaluate alternatives, and make effective decisions.
  • Excellent team building skills with ability to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
