Environmental Health & Safety Intern Summer 2026

About the role:

As an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) intern, you will directly help maintain a safe and healthful work environment and mitigating environmental impacts.

You will report to the GOS EHS Senior Manager. This is a paid, full-time hybrid summer position based at our Cranberry Township, PA location.

Key Responsibilities:

• You will travel throughout Western Pennsylvania sites, required
• Additional travel opportunities
• You will help develop and implement Health and Safety standards and programs
• Participate in EHS team meetings; present on EHS topics and project progress
• Conduct hazard assessments, and make recommendations for mitigations
• Inspect and evaluate workplace environments, equipment, and practices for regulatory compliance
• Participate in accident investigations to identify causes and corrective actions.
• Work as part of an inspection or audit team
• Develop safety briefs, communication and training materials and provide training to improve EHS knowledge
• Analyze data, suggest corrective actions, develop reports

Qualifications:

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in environmental health and safety, industrial hygiene, fire or similar
• You will have completed occupational safety, environmental or industrial hygiene coursework is required
• Reliable transportation for commuting to and from work locations (<50 miles)
• Minimum GPA of 3.0
• Complete sophomore year of college
• US Citizen or Permanent Resident
• No relocation assistance provided

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The hourly rate for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $18.70 to $22.69 per hour.
