Your Day-to-Day:
The Junior Application Developer provides programming expertise needed to support new and existing applications developed by Westinghouse. This position will rely on the use of existing frameworks and languages to create and maintain robust applications used by several business units within Westinghouse.
The Developer will work closely with U.S. and Poland-based Application Developers to produce effective solutions as needed. This role requires a basic understanding of Agile methods, Software Development Lifecycle, Object-Oriented Programming, HTTP standards, and Full Stack Development (applications, databases, servers, and operating systems).
In addition to technical skills, the Junior Application Developer must work well with minimal requirements and be willing to explore and uncover new requirements via meetings, emails, and exploratory discussions with a business representative or other developers. The Junior Developer must be willing to stop when unsure, ask questions, and manage time effectively.

Support and maintain existing enterprise applications.

Participate in the development of new applications and feature enhancements.

Complete assigned project activities on time and maintain requirements via Azure DevOps.

Complete application support activities to achieve SLA targets set by the organization for Westinghouse businesses.

Adhere to established project management methodologies and documentation standards to complete all projects in assigned application area.
Who You Are:
As a successful candidate, you will bring the following to the team:

Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent.

0-2 years of experience

Basic web development (HTML, CSS, Javascript)

Basic database CRUD operations

Object-oriented programming language experience (C#, Java, C/++, etc.)

Back-end framework experience (.NET, Spring, etc.) is a plus
-
Front-end framework experience (Angular, React, Vue, etc.) is a plus

Microsoft DevOps experience is a plus

High degree of motivation, flexibility and creativity

Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize and analyze information with attention to detail and accuracy

Executes development work on time and within budget

Provides high quality support within SLA

Clear communicator
