Lead Nuclear Engineer - Reactor Operator

Your Day-to-Day:

The Nuclear Operations (NucOps) group has an exciting opportunity with a position of Lead Engineer/Engineering Supervisor (Global Grade 9) within the Global Engineering Services (GES) organization. The purpose of this role is to act as deputy manager for NucOps by fulfilling lead/supervisor responsibilities as defined in the  Leadership Bars 2.0. The workload associated with this role is expected to be up to 50%. The remainder of these supervisory duties will consist of technical and/or project work in support of NucOps. NucOps is part of a new Engineering Department in GES focusing on plant operations and training.

Who You Are:
As a successful candidate, you will bring the following to the team:

Prerequisites for this position consist of the following:

• Proven engineering leadership, either as a Technical Lead or Project Manager. including
  • Management of teams in challenging situations
  • Familiarity with Engineering processes including hardware design, testing, software development, etc…
  • Frequent interactions with customers
• Qualification in at least one of the following technical areas of NucOps is required:
  • On-site testing/diagnostic/troubleshooting (Physics Testing, Rod Drop Testing, NIS, new plant testing and commissioning, etc…)
  • Senior Reactor Operator (SRO) License or SRO Certification
  • Development and management of plant procedures (NOPs, AOPs, EOPs, FSGs, …)
  • Reactor Engineering and/or incore instrumentation
  • Low Power Physics Testing Service Lead
• This position is open to Principal Engineers and Lead Engineers
• This position is US-based with a preferred (but not limited to) location in Cranberry.

This position will report directly to the Senior Manager of the Nuclear Operations group and will act for him in case of absence or unavailability.
