Lead / Supervisory Engineer

About the role:

As a Lead Supervisory Engineer you will be responsible for leading a work group responsible for the design and implementation of low voltage electrical systems and cable management including AC and DC electrical system design, cable sizing, application of digital design processes for cable and termination management, and collaboration with internal electrical groups, other disciplines, clients, and vendors.

You will report to the Manager, Large Project Electrical Systems and Equipment and be located at Cranberry Township, PA. The position is hybrid; you will be onsite 2 days per week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide oversite and direction to a distributed team of engineers and designers.
• Support department leadership with offer development and project execution.
• Support the execution of training and development plans.
• Developing the next generation of engineers to ensure future WEC bench strength. Mentor the team to aid in their technical development, project performance and work satisfaction.
• Engage with external customers, partners and WEC senior management as required.
• Support prioritization of engineering tasks by assessing project objectives, execution time, and implementation costs.
• Ensure best practices, lessons learned, & improvement are realized in project performance and margins.
• Provide management team information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing engineering data and trends.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline, or equivalent with military and/or business experience.
• Minimum 10 years of strong and progressively more responsible leadership experience required.
• Ability to gather and analyze input, evaluate alternatives, and make effective decisions.
• Excellent team building skills with an ability to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong English language skills (written and oral)
• Leadership qualities and abilities
• Knowledge of engineering principles and practices

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $116,800 to $146,000 per year.
