Please note, Relocation is not available for this position. 

 

Your Day-to-Day:

  • Manages Licensing activities related to operating plants including fuel upgrades and initiatives
  • Performs workload planning and resource assignments
  • Coordinates Licensing proposals related to operating plants and fuel feature changes/initiatives
  • Interfaces with technical leads to develop licensing approaches for operating plant programs, products and services
  • Engage regulators, utilities, and industry groups on regulatory activities
  • Drives continuous improvement of products, processes, and/or procedures
  • Oversees internally funded Licensing projects
  • Mentors and trains new licensing employees
  • Sets day-to-day operational objectives for individuals or teams, ensures that policies and procedures are understood and followed
  • Leverages knowledge of Westinghouse products as a differentiator to positively impact customer relationships
  • Provides leadership for the interface with U.S. NRC (and potentially other country regulators)

 

Who You Are:

As a successful candidate, you will bring the following to the team:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering
  • Minimum 10 years of applicable engineering or licensing experience
  • Familiar with NRC regulations and nuclear industry guidance
  • Possesses knowledge of the Gen II plant design, operation, and work processes
  • Possesses nuclear licensing skills or familiarity such as the development of 10 CFR 50.59 evaluations, License Amendments, and topical reports
  • Recognized as a subject matter expert in one or more technical or licensing discipline
  • Strong communication skills and an understanding of financial models
  • Ability to organize and delegate work and ensure deliverables are completed on time with high quality
  • Ability to support emergent licensing related activities
  • Experience in making presentations and conducting meetings
  • Willingness to travel to support customer, industry or regulator activities (<10% travel)
