About the role:

As a Reactor and Safety Systems manager you will lead a team of Fluid Systems Engineers that provides engineering support across APX, OPX, and AP300 programs. You will drive organizational capability and resource alignment to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality engineering products that support new plant projects, operating plant needs, and advanced reactor technologies.

 

You will report to the Director, Mechanical Engineering and be located at our Cranberry, PA facility. The position offers a hybrid work arrangement, blending remote flexibility with regular on-site collaboration at our Cranberry, PA office.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, develop, and manage a team of Fluid Systems Engineers, including performance management, career development, and hiring
  • Establish workforce plans, staffing strategies, and resource priorities to ensure successful execution of engineering commitments across multiple projects
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality engineering products that meet technical, regulatory, quality, and customer requirements.
  • Provide management-level technical oversight for reactor and safety-related fluid systems and associated plant systems.
  • Partner with APX, OPX, and AP300 leadership to understand future business demand and align workforce development with strategic needs.
  • Coordinate engineering support for emergent plant issues, customer requests, outage activities, and project execution needs.
  • Promote a strong culture of nuclear safety, quality, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
  • Build team capability through mentoring, coaching, and talent development.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Mechanical, Chemical, or Nuclear engineer.
  • Minimum 5 years of applicable engineering experience.
  • Effective oral and written communication with internal and external customers and engineering groups.
  • Gather and analyze input, evaluate alternatives, and make effective decisions.
  • Excellent team building skills with ability to engage with technical and non-technical team members.
  • Knowledge of human resource principles and practices
  • Knowledge of engineering principles and practices

 

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be (($130,000 to $160,000)) per year.
