Your Day-to-Day:

The Manager, Supplier Quality Assessment is responsible for providing global leadership, implementation, and maintenance of the Westinghouse supplier qualification (audits/surveys) and performance monitoring processes to ensure products manufactured by Westinghouse global supply base meet all quality and regulatory requirements which include 10CFR50 Appendix B, ASME NQA-1, ASME B&PV Code, and ISO standards.

Develop an engaged team with expertise and skill sets to assure proper and adequate evaluation of Westinghouse suppliers.

Strategically allocate resources for the executions of audits, commercial grade surveys, desktop evaluations, and supplier capability assessments.

Partner with localized quality and operational teams to ensure products and processes provided by the Westinghouse global supply chain consistently conform to Westinghouse procurement document requirements, 10CFR50 Appendix B, 10CFR21, ASME Section III NCA-3800/4000, NQA-1, ISO-9001, and other quality related regulatory requirements including international codes and regulations (i.e. RCC-M/E, KTA-1401, etc.).

Lead, co-ordinate and integrate complex projects which encompass multi-functional areas. Monitor progress and direct teams to successfully achieve established quality objectives within budgetary and schedule constraints.

Lead cross functional teams in the resolution of complex supplier quality issues which adversely impact product quality.

Support assessments from quality related regulatory agencies and notified bodies, in partnership with Corporate, Divisions, Business Units and Subsidiaries

Support compliant execution of quality-related activities, including but not limited to corrective action program, change management, problem solving, product and process development, acceptance activities.

Develop, measure, and report key quality metrics to drive quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

Communicate in an effective and timely manner with Corporate, Business Units, Subsidiaries and executive leadership regarding any potential supplier quality issues and product releases being investigated.

Initiate training programs to advance understanding of regulatory requirements and quality concepts while promoting, strengthening and enhancing Nuclear Safety Culture.

Promote, strengthen, and enhance the Nuclear Safety Culture.

Collaborate and support companywide quality planning continuous improvement projects (e.g. QEHS Improvements, Quality Program Improvements Project, etc.).

Support Global Quality and Operations Due Diligence acquisition and integration activities as required.

Support planning and execution of Internal Quality compliance/ performance-based audits and Supplier Audits.

Develop and manage business unit budget to support achievement of company goals and targets.
Who You Are:
As a successful candidate, you will bring the following to the team:
• B.A. or B.S. degree in technical, legal, or business area.
• Minimum 6 years applicable experience required; 10+ years in Quality Assurance, Regulatory or other applicable technical function preferred.
• NQA-1 Certified Lead Auditor certification is desirable.
• Certifications in quality field such as Six sigma, CQM, CQE, etc. preferred
• Must have strong written and verbal communication skills that require minimal management review/edits and can concisely package messages for various audiences including direct reports, peers, executive level management, customers and regulators.
• Quality Systems knowledge (10CFR50 Appendix B, 10CFR21, ASME Section III NCA-3800/4000, NQA-1, ISO-9001, and other quality related regulatory requirements including international codes and regulations such as RCC-M/E, KTA-1401, etc.).
• Excellent analytical skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Capability to help develop, facilitate, and lead change in a fast-paced, changing environment.
• Broad technical knowledge and ability to interface with both internal and external subject matter experts in a variety of fields including, but not limited to Mechanical Engineering design and fabrication, Electrical Engineering and Instrumentation & Controls.
• A strong level of cultural awareness and sensitivity required which facilitates international business relationships and demonstrated ability to work within the organization globally.
• Demonstrated ability to influence and persuade others within directly-aligned organizations and across matrix groups for which the incumbent has no direct control.
• Manages emotions in challenging situations. Listens and clarifies understanding before acting.
• Demonstrated ability to positively influence individual and organizational behaviors.
• Routinely recognizes and reinforces positive employee behavior and proactively coaches and professionally addresses employee performance issues.
• Valid passport (or ability to obtain one) is required, as is ability to travel internationally as the position requires 25-50% travel.
