About the role:
As a Project Schedule Planning Manager, you will lead the development, integration, and management of project schedules for APX Delivery organizations to support proposals and contracts. You will partner with cost estimating, proposal management, engineering, and delivery teams to ensure that project schedules are compliant, accurate, competitive, and aligned with enterprise standards. You will provide guidance to the schedule planning team and be accountable for the schedule component throughout the offer lifecycle—from capture and proposal through negotiation, award, and handoff to delivery.
You will report to the Director, Project and Portfolio Planning, and be located at the Cranberry Township, PA headquarters facility. You will be Hybrid.
Key Responsibilities:

Accountable for schedule planning across capture, proposal, and fact-finding/negotiations; ensure a clean handoff to Delivery upon contract award.

Lead the project schedule planning team – which will have direct reports and also use matrixed Project Controls resources – in the preparation of compliant, accurate, and schedules for the APX business.

Develop schedule models and Basis of Schedule (BOS) documentation to support Request for Proposal (RFP) responses, proposals, and task orders.

Develop standard schedule models and BOS templates to improve consistency and efficiency of schedule development.

Review solicitations and coordinate with proposal teams to define scheduling requirements and develop proposal strategies.

Integrate schedule development with cost estimating, ensuring consistency between technical, cost, and schedule volumes.

Coordinate with other APX PD&CI teams to collectively provide clear resource demand signal and schedule input for offer development.

Implement and maintain standard scheduling processes, tools, documentation, and gate reviews; ensure audit readiness.

Provide project schedule leadership during fact-finding, negotiations, and contract award processes.

Develop team members to build internal expertise and succession capabilities.

Analyze historical schedule data and trends to enhance schedule accuracy and efficiency.

Implement scheduling software to standardize project schedule preparation.
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor's degree in business administration, construction management, engineering, or a related discipline, along with at least 8-years of progressive project scheduling experience. May substitute equivalent experience in lieu of education.

Leader with the ability to build a team.

Familiarity with project execution and proposal management, and scheduling principles and system compliance.

Experience and strong command of scheduling software (e.g., Primavera) is required.

Experience managing multiple complex schedules.

Can plan, organize, schedule, conduct, and coordinate workloads to meet established milestones with experience in project leadership.
We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $130,400 to $163,000 per year.
