About the role:

As the OPX Chief of Staff, you will be a trusted advisor and strategic partner to the President of Operating Plant Services (OPX) and the executive team. You will drive alignment across business priorities, improve executive decision-making, manage high-impact initiatives, and ensure coordination across the organizational operating rhythm. You will gain experience in translating strategy into disciplined execution, resolving cross-functional barriers, and enabling the organization to operate with speed and accountability. This role should be considered a rotational role (18-24 months) to gain experience and exposure in executive level decision making.

 

You will report to the VP of Performance and Delivery Systems and will be based out of our Cranberry Township, PA location. This is a mobile position that is required on site 2-3 days per week. 30-50% travel is a reasonable expectation.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Translate the President's vision into actionable short- and long-term strategy, business roadmaps, and year-over-year priorities while connecting OPx strategy to broader enterprise objectives.
  • Anticipate risks, opportunities, and external market, customer, and business trends; provide insight and recommendations that inform long-range planning, including two- to ten-year outlooks.
  • Act as a force multiplier for the President by ensuring focus on the highest-value priorities and preparing decision frameworks, executive briefings, email reviews, summaries, and other materials that enable decisions.
  • Manage communication flow and messaging across internal and external stakeholders, collateral, meetings, and events to ensure consistent alignment and clear executive direction.
  • Ensure alignment, prioritization, and progress tracking across key projects and OPx KPIs; remove barriers and accelerate decision-making for key stakeholders in partnership with the President.
  • Establish and manage operating rhythms, including QBRs, Board of Directors materials, leadership meetings, business reviews, decision forums, agenda planning, follow-up actions, and performance tracking.
  • Support the preparation and delivery of content required to execute the operating rhythm, including business reviews, Board of Directors discussions, leadership meetings, and other executive forums.
  • Optimize leadership team performance and ways of working by providing guidance and input to the President on team effectiveness, governance, accountability, and role clarity.
  • Fuel cross-functional collaboration at a global scale and lead change management for major transformations in partnership with HR and Communications.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or related discipline
  • 10+ years of experience in enterprise planning, operations strategy, or integrated business planning
  • Experience in strategy, operations, project or program management, business planning, executive support, or a related leadership role.
  • Experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives from concept through execution in a matrixed organization.
  • Strong executive presence, sound judgment, discretion, and ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
  • Ability to influence without direct authority and build trusted relationships across senior leaders, functional teams, and external stakeholders.

 

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $144,000.00 to $180,000.00 per year.
