Operational Training and Communications Specialist

The Operational Training and Communications Specialist supports organizational effectiveness through employee development, internal communications, onboarding, process improvement, and digital workplace solutions. This role develops and maintains communication platforms, training resources, and operational tools that improve employee engagement, knowledge sharing, and business performance while supporting strategic initiatives across the APX Supply Chain organization.

You will report to the APX Supply Chain Operational Excellence Manager and work hybrid out of Cranberry Township, PA.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, manage, and maintain internal communication platforms, including SharePoint, newsletters, Teams communications, digital displays, and employee engagement channels.
• Create and distribute organizational communications, leadership messaging, employee recognition content, onboarding materials, and business updates.
• Support employee development initiatives through the creation of training resources, onboarding tools, career development materials, and learning programs.
• Coordinate and execute communication campaigns, organizational events, leadership visits, employee engagement activities, and change management initiatives.
• Maintain content governance, communication standards, and knowledge management resources to ensure accurate and consistent information sharing.
• Partner with leaders and stakeholders to translate business objectives, project updates, and strategic initiatives into clear and engaging employee communications.
• Support the development and administration of SharePoint sites, Power Apps, Power Automate workflows, and other digital workplace solutions that enhance organizational effectiveness.
• Monitor communication effectiveness, employee engagement metrics, and feedback to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Assist in developing presentations, reports, visual communications, and executive materials supporting Operational Excellence initiatives.
• Lead and support process improvement projects that enhance employee experience, information flow, organizational culture, and business performance.
• Coordinate onboarding activities, orientation programs, mentorship initiatives, and employee integration efforts to support workforce development and retention.
• Collaborate across functional teams to improve communication, knowledge sharing, and adoption of organizational tools, processes, and best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience in Training and Development, Learning & Development, Organizational Communications, Education, Change Management, Organizational Effectiveness, or a related field.
• Demonstrated ability to develop instructional content, training materials, presentations, and communication resources for diverse audiences.
• Proficient in business systems and reporting tools, including all of Microsoft 365 platforms

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $76,400 to $95,500 per year.
