About the role:

As a Poland Project Engineering Manager you will support of advancement of the AP1000 new build at the Lubiatowo-Kopalino site. This PEM will engage on specific technical, and project related nuclear power plant design topics in support of execution of established Polish project contracts. Efforts also include the planning and capture phase of future contracts working with the APX Project Development and APX Delivery Organizations.

You will report to the Director, Project Engineering Poland / Plant and Design Engineering and be located in Cranberry Township, PA or Rock Hill, SC. The position is hybrid; you will be onsite 2 days per week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with Component Manufacturing and Plant & Design Engineering functional directors and teams to implement standard work processes, procedures and automation tools on all AP1000 Poland Contracts consistent with the strategic direction established by the respective Project Partners.
  • Directs assigned lead(s) and team members for contractual scope execution.
  • Responsible for development, maintenance and distribution of engineering budgets and schedules for respective statements of work within the Poland AP1000 contracts. Identifies resource needs and develops justification.
  • Monitor staffing needs on assigned projects and communicate according to create clear demand signals.
  • Facilitates cross-discipline coordination for both technical and programmatic related issues.
  • Lead troubleshooting and resolution of complex problems.
  • Guide continuous improvement plans and project/program expansion opportunities.
  • Interfaces with Polish client (PEJ), Polish regulatory body (PAA), and/or project designated partners to support Westinghouse partner engagement.
  • Support multiple aspects of future bid and proposal efforts with respect to future contract phases and identified additional project scopes.
  • Work with project management team members, support management activities (definition of schedule, budget, risk, change, opportunity and resource allocation management) for complex projects or programs.
  • Responsible for time approval, development and performance management of direct reports.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering
  • 10+ years of professional experience in engineering/technology based industries
  • Experience leading and directing medium or high complexity projects to successful completion.
  • Familiarity with the AP1000 project, processes, and procedures.
  • Have the ability to establish networks across multiple departments and can lead and motivate a team to reach a common goal.

Beneficial:

  • 2+ years of experience project management experience of complex technically oriented projects with programmatic, budgetary, and resource direction responsibilities

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $130,400 to $163,000 per year.
