About the role:
As a Principal Engineer you will provide broad-ranging experience of advanced nuclear plant designs including interfaces with systems, equipment, structures, and physical plant arrangement. The primary roles within this group include building and site 3D modeling and layout, and design integration across many functional areas.
You will report to the Engineering Manager, Plant Engineering, Chemical, Piping, Welding and Plant Engineering and be located in Cranberry Township, PA or Rock Hill, SC. This position is hybrid in nature at the discretion of the manager typically requiring 2-3 days/week on-site. No relocation will be provided for this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead global and cross functional engineering teams by contributing to technical scope execution, meeting schedule and financial goals including supporting the design, fabrication, construction, and maintenance of large-scale nuclear projects. Specific areas include:
- 3D model and physical arrangement development
- Hazards evaluations
- IAEA Safeguards implementation
- Design Interface integration and oversight
- Present technical topics and interface with global customers and regulatory bodies
- Mentor engineers and lead plans for knowledge management and retention
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering: Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Nuclear
- Minimum 7 years of applicable experience
- Ability to work both remotely, from home office, and from customer site to support customer projects globally
Beneficial:
- Knowledge of PWR reactors.
- Familiarity with AP1000
We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $103,200 to $129,000 per year.
