Your Day-to-Day:

What your day-to-day activities looks like:

  • Applying and reinforcing Nuclear safety Culture Traits and Human Performance tools at Westinghouse
  • Support various aspects of future bid and proposal efforts in various European countries. This includes working across various technical areas (e.g. Engineering, Licensing, Supply Chain Management, Quality Assurance, etc.)  Lead cross functional engineering teams supporting various aspects of future bid and proposal efforts.
    • Drive results with high accountability while exhibiting flexibility and adaptability to lead efforts in support Poland Project milestones, while concurrently managing many tasks
    • Develop solution paths for issues involving technical, commercial, and financial problems
    • Develop effective working relationships across organizational boundaries and with Customers (internal and external)
    • Develop flexible project plans, including schedule and budget activities as part of  Poland Project support.
    • Lead team meetings and ensure deliverables and handoffs are executed per plan
    • Drive technical and commercial decisions as appropriate
    • Leverage Westinghouse expertise across different functional disciplines and global work locations
    • Drive decision making that meets project technical, commercial, and schedule needs

 

  • Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills to interface with peers and executive management
    • Including delivering presentations and regular updates to internal and external stakeholders

 

  • Interface with construction partners, potential customers, partners and regulators in support of Westinghouse stakeholder engagement plans
    • Optimize spending to successfully manage budgets for assigned projects
    • AP1000 design experience including, but not limited to, configuration management, digital design, Information Management Systems
    • Familiarity with AP1000 design criteria as well as governing applicable code requirements
    • Previous interactions in support of AP1000 configuration management and IMS is a plus.

 

  • Leading internal Department projects which may include:
    • Department improvement initiatives for future estimation process for New AP1000 Plant Builds
    • The creation and management of the AP1000 Index of Engineering Documents (IED).

Who You Are:

As a successful candidate, you will bring the following to the team:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent. 
  • Minimum 6 years applicable engineering experience required; 7 plus years applicable  experience preferred. 
  • Effective oral and written communications
  • Project or Construction Management experience a plus
