Principal Engineer - Windows

Reporting to the Platform Services Manager, the Principal Engineer - Citrix/Windows will be responsible for working with our team in troubleshooting, planning and installation of Infrastructure Systems in our global environment. Managing Citrix environments: Installing, configuring, and managing Citrix software, including XenDesktop, XenApp, and Netscaler

Your Day To Day

• Supporting users: Providing technical support to end-users, troubleshooting issues, and helping with escalations
• Maintaining systems: Monitoring system performance, ensuring network functionality, and restoring computers if needed
• Documenting: Creating documentation for configuration management processes and procedures
• Collaborating: Working with stakeholders to identify business requirements and develop solutions
• Providing operational support: Supporting virtual systems and providing operational requests
• Maintaining compliance: Ensuring patch and vulnerability compliance across the virtual desktop ecosystem
• Analyzing software: Analyzing the effectiveness of Citrix software for the business
• Creating training plans: Creating training plans for Citrix software
• Optimizing systems: Optimizing systems for Citrix configuration, deployment, or maintenance

Other responsibilities include: Installing and removing hardware and software, Conducting tests and correcting malfunctions, Reviewing change requests, Maintaining user request records, and Contributing to the development of installation procedures and standards.

Who You Are

• Bachelor’s Degree in IT or related experience
• Understanding and experience in Windows, Citrix and VMware.
• Experience in managing small projects
• 5+ years’ experience hands on support and troubleshooting of Infrastructure Systems.
