About the role:
As a Principal Project Manager for Digital Services, you will be managing projects within the Operational Intelligence and Risk Management organization where we perform plant engineering support functions for operating plants including Component and System Engineering Support, License Renewal, Condition Monitoring, 50.69 Implementation, and other Equipment Reliability / Strategic Engineering focused projects. Projects include the use and management of technology including artificial intelligence to execute projects while maintaining high quality. You will be responsible for all project management processes on medium to high complexity projects, and will be required to lead small to medium sized project teams (average 5-20 members). You may serve as a Technical Inputs Lead for medium complexity proposal projects as assigned.
You will report to the Manager of Projects, Digital Technology and will be based out of our Cranberry Township, PA location. Minor travel (5-10%), possibly including international travel, may be required for this position
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end project management for medium to high complexity projects, including proposal support as assigned, and direct cross-functional teams (typically 5–20 members).
- Oversee project planning and performance baselines (scope, schedule, cost), including estimates/offers, risk and stakeholder registers, and required project management plans in alignment with WPMR.
- Manage and integrate delivery across project functions (resources, procurement, quality, communications, and stakeholders), following department protocols to acquire and coordinate team members.
- Lead customer and stakeholder communications, including negotiations as needed, and ensure transparent status reporting to the team, customer, and leadership.
- Interpret contract requirements, manage scope/contract changes through an integrated change control process, and develop project deliverables that strengthen customer relationships and support profitability.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and records in standard systems to ensure efficient internal/external correspondence, reporting, and compliance.
- Drive financial stewardship by forecasting spend, monitoring performance, closing projects in required systems, and capturing lessons learned and improvement/recovery actions for future work.
- Mentor other project managers within the organization in critical project management requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Engineering, Business, or related technical discipline required.
- 10 years of experience as project manager leading and directing small or medium complexity projects to successful completion. 8 years in technical/engineering role and 2 years as project manager may be considered as equivalent.
- Westinghouse Project Manager qualification completed. For external candidate, PMP (Project Management Professional), or equivalent certification, or meet eligibility requirements.
- Familiar with the Project Management Institute (PMI®)'s Project Management Body of Knowledge required.
- Demonstrated ability or understanding of the transformation of data to information for reporting
- Experience with SAP, Primavera (P6), Microsoft Project, Microsoft SharePoint, and Active Risk Manager.
We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $103,200.00 to $129,000.00 per year.
