About the role:
As a Principal Quality Specialist, you will lead and conduct a variety of quality assurance tasks to help ensure Westinghouse products and services meet quality (regulatory, statutory) and technical requirements defined by Westinghouse. You will work with teams in the development and execution of quality activities that support management system activities, corrective action issue analysis and resolution, internal quality audit performance, and third-party interface activities. You will report to the Senior Director, Corporate Quality and be located at our Cranberry Township, PA site. Hybrid Work Schedule.
Key Responsibilities:

Participate in internal quality audits globally throughout the year with the expectation of obtaining/maintaining Lead Auditor Qualifications

Perform, coordinate and mentor others in Corrective Action Program efforts, including issue owner, causal analysis using industry tools, corrective action implementation, procedure updates and maintenance and IRC coordination efforts as assigned

Lead, coordinate and integrate complex quality projects, which encompass multi-teams. Monitor progress and direct teams to achieve established quality goals within budgetary and schedule constraints.

Mentor and help develop less experienced Quality personnel in the execution of quality programmatic, corrective action and assessment activities.

Identify opportunities and implement solutions for streamlining quality processes to improve productivity and ensure customer satisfaction.

Provide input and support to corporate quality processes activities associated with management review, self-assessments, procedure revision process, document control, operating experience as assigned

Lead assessments of our QMS to ensure compliance with the latest applicable regulations, codes and standards.

Be the liaison/coordinator for third-party inquiries and audits, including government regulatory agencies, customers, industry entities and registrars, when needed. Ensure appropriate response and closure of issues and recommendations.

Analyze and trend applicable data to translate issues into recommendations. Communicate changes in policies, processes and systems.

Develop and deliver educational training programs.

Perform gap analysis, due diligence and help with integration plans for mergers and acquisitions for quality processes and applicability to the Westinghouse Quality Management System.

Apply advanced quality analytical techniques/tools and statistical methods for collection of deficiency information to identify failure causes and trends, recommend improvement/corrective actions, rate performance and measure the effectiveness of programs and internal processes.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree equivalent experience. Engineering or Technical Degree preferred.

8+ years of quality or technical experience

Certification as a Lead Auditor in NQA-1 or IS0-9001

Working knowledge and application of national and international regulations and industry Standards such as ASME NQA-1, US NRC Regulations 10CFR50 Appendix B and 10CFR21, ANSI, ISO 19443, ISO-9001 and the daughter standards, IEEE standards, CSA Codes, NIRMA standards, etc.
We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $90,000 to $112,500 per year.
