As a Principal Solution Architect, you will work with customers, stakeholders, and partners to conceive, design & implement industrial solutions at scale using Westinghouse Digital technologies. The right individual is a proactive, self-starter that enjoys & thrives when connecting people and technology that solve sophisticated problems. You will analyze, model, and develop complex and high-level architecture plans that require the integration of multiple technologies & coordination of functional areas across the organization. You will partner with senior business and technology leaders to map business strategy to technical architecture. In this role, you will also work closely with engineering to ensure that requirements from the ecosystem are thoroughly understood & reflected in future product releases.  This is a US ONLY Remote role.  While the preference is for a US candidate, we will also consider candidates currently located in Spain or Poland.

 

Your Day to Day:

This role is responsible for providing direction, guidance, definition, evaluation, and facilitation for the development of current and future Westinghouse Digital architecture.

  • Provide thought-leadership and architectural guidance/reviews on strategic Westinghouse Digital implementations.
  • Provide technical guidance to lead, design, architect & deliver on top of Microsoft Azure.
  • Represent Westinghouse Digital in complex deals by providing functional and technical consultation.
  • Assist the core Westinghouse Digital engineering team to develop the right scenarios and features to address customer and stakeholder.
  • Build POCs and solutions to analyze ambiguous technical & customer situations to determine appropriate solutions as necessary.
  • Work closely cross-discipline with stakeholders to drive decision making & outcomes designed for growth.
  • Advise the Scrum team(s) to design & implement methods that meet customer / end user expectations & achieve portfolio initiative goals.
  • Ability to create consensus on efficient solution strategy with agility & leadership skills that is recognized & respected by peers.
  • Ability to understand diverse industrial customers & develop architectures that meet the current and anticipated business needs across the Westinghouse Digital ecosystem.
  • Lead the end to end solution design and architecture for key company initiatives.
  • Present architecture and innovative ideas to executive leadership for the purposes of alignment and key decision making.

 

Who You Are:

  • B.S. degree or equivalent practical experience
  • M.S. degree preferred
  • 5+ years of solution development, application engineering, customer engagement, or related software experience, typically 7-10 years experience
  • Strong knowledge of Industrial solutions, & Agile principles and process
  • Strong Solutions background for Industrial customers
  • Strong leadership, change management and communication skills
  • Experience with data insight tools, integrated PPM tools/suites and Agile management tools. (i.e. Tableau, Power BI, Primavera, smartsheet, TFS, Rally, JIRA, etc.)
