About the role:
As a Procurement Intern, you will support the Westinghouse APx Delivery organization with strategy development and execution of purchase orders for equipment that will be used on one of our AP1000 new plant opportunities. Daily work and activities will encompass all phases and steps of the procurement process from bid and component design through manufacturing. You will also support supplier evaluation for new and existing suppliers for AP1000 opportunities in the North America and EMEA regions.
You will report to the Sr. Manager – AP1000 Procurement and be located at our Cranberry facility. This is a paid full-time onsite position for the summer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support development of Procurement Strategies for Several AP1000 Opportunities
- You will aid in supplier identification
- Help with supplier selection for PO placement
- You will help with PO Change Notices
- Manage Westinghouse Project Support Team
Qualifications:
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics, purchasing, engineering, or related field
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- Completed Sophomore year of college
We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The hourly rate for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $18.70 to $27.50 per hour.
