The Product Manager (PdM) – D&D Segmentation & Dismantling is responsible and accountable for the product planning, strategy, innovation, business planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle, including:  gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements and market intelligence with the support of Customer Account teams, defining the product strategy with the support of GOS/GES specific for the BU the PdM reports through, and working closely with GOS, D&I, account teams, commercial integration and legal/contracts to ensure Westinghouse scope footprint/market entry is in good health and customer satisfaction goals are met.  Shared responsibility with operations  for the Profit & Loss (Overall Revenue and Margin Growth, Margin as Sold %, Innovation IRR, etc.) for a specific offering segment.  The PdM must also ensure that the product strategy supports and is aligned with Environmental Services’ overall strategy and goals.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Implements standards contained in Westinghouse "Codes of Business Ethics & Conduct."  Ensure that all employees reporting to this position are informed about the standards and related policies and enforce them within this supervised activity.

 

Product and Technology:

  • Accountable for product and technology portfolio within the D&D Segmentation & Dismantling business.
  • Identifies innovation and business development opportunities based on market needs for existing and/or new products and services.
  • Defines, drives, and monitors product life cycle and leads product evolution from concept to retirement to maximize value with tie to technology roadmaps and other product strategies.
  • Identifies and leads continuous improvement of technical solutions and processes.
  • Screens nuclear and conventional markets for new and innovative technologies and solutions and evaluation of possible application to the D&D Segmentation business
  • Oversees applications of new technologies development and innovation. Provides technical leadership of innovation projects for technology development.

 

Business & Offer Development:

  • Articulates and implements Value Selling Proposition (VSP) in alignment with all other Business Units to ensure there is a global alignment on market value of the specific segment products and services, where applicable.
  • Develops solutions integration thru intimate knowledge of product segment to enhance value selling proposition and maximize revenue and EBIDTA potential.
  • Collaborates with Customer Account Directors, Customer Account Managers and Capture Managers to monitor segment-specific market trends, customer buying patterns and competitor moves to feed product marketing plan and support capture teams.
  • Maintains and updaters opportunity pipeline in D365 and identifies/secures best-athlete TIL and PM thru rigorous future opportunity resource planning.
  • As necessary acts as TIL or working with a TIL to support business and offer development process.
  • Develops technical concepts and concept descriptions as applicable for the BU segment and drives product roadmaps: set targets for GTO/GOS, chairs NPI (New Product Introduction) gate reviews, ensures shortest time to market introduction
  • Reviews and provided feedback for costing buildups including work breakdown structure, technical specifications for supplies, and cost estimations
  • As necessary or as requested by the BD/Sales team interacts with customers during all stages of offer identification, development, and project execution to foster positive relationships, exhibit accountability and continuation of Westinghouse’s commitment to deliver customer success.
  • Leads development of critical partnerships with companies in form of Teaming Agreements and/or Consortium agreements to improve Westinghouse market access and competitiveness.

 

Project Execution:

  • Oversees and supports flawless execution of D&D Segmentation & Dismantling projects.
  • Supports Segmetnation & Dismantling Technical Lead/SME in developing working packages, defining technical resource needs as input for the resource demand planning.
  • Supports Segmetnation & Dismantling Technical Lead/SME in the development and maintenance of the project risk profile, and support  development and execution of the mitigation plan.
  • Provides technical and product development support to the Segmetnartion Technical Lead/SME
  • Manages post project claims (warranty, disputes, late payments, etc.) for D&D Segmetnartion related projects

QEHS, approval and licensing:

  • Adheres to quality procedures; work with QEHS department as needed to ensure high quality of design, design documents, and fabrication.
  • Drives safe and environment friendly technical solutions and processes.
  • Provides technical support for regulatory approval and licensing per each project as needed in each specific country

 

YOUR PROFILE

 

  • Fluent English language skills (reading/writing and conversation)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with D&D Segmentation & Dismantling projects
  • Experience in product management, business or operations with increasing progression and complexity and levels of responsibility
  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration is preferred
  • Knowledge of the D&D business focused on Segmentation & Dismantling , technical solutions, its performance, applications, and boundary conditions.
  • Knowledge of NPP technology, components, materials, site conditions, restrictions, boundary conditions.
  • Very good knowledge of national and international nuclear codes and standards that are relevant for D&D business.
  • Familiarity with licensing processes for relevant countries.
  • B.S. degree in engineering or business management, information technology or computer science.
