Your Day-to-Day:

Responsible for management of fuel hardware and technology products, development processes and product technology evolution over the life of the fuel products from idea generation through development, launch, growth and discontinuance. Act as key interface on behalf of the GOS NFE team (PE/CESD), working collaboratively to drive WEC global fuel strategy and cost reduction.  Interface closely with BUs, D&I, Energy Systems, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering, and Energy Systems, and potential other outside partners or WEC licensees.  Perform detailed product cost assessments, business cases and strategy development for various product and process technology areas. 


*1.    Help shape future product strategy and technology to ensure growth, product quality, cost competitiveness to achieve WEC goals for growth.  Drive proper Westinghouse development processes as stewards of IDP, and integrating across WEC programs such as DtV, Risk Management, and Product Management.
*2   Develop and coordinate innovative solutions to create customer product value considering “breakthrough” technologies and cost improvements. 
*3.    Understand voice of the customer intelligence and maximize contributions to ensure product viability, synergies and efficient resource utilization.  
*4.  Prioritize and manage in an oversight function the investment and capital budgets/costs related to new fuel products, new processes, engineering and manufacturing investment.  
*5.    Based on product performance, the Product Manager determines what actions are needed to upgrade, improve, revise or reposition products, or when actions are needed to revise product promotional and pricing. 
*6.  Communicate a vision for future and promote a culture that aligns with organizational goals, including personalized customer service, human performance fundamentals, radiation protection practices and safety.
*7.  Prepare and successfully implement training and development plans.  Assist in developing next generation of project engineers and managers to ensure future WEC bench strength.
*7.  Engage with external customers, partners and WEC senior management as required.


Who You Are:
As a successful candidate, you will bring the following to the team:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering or related field.  

Typically, ten to fifteen years of experience required with some experience in nuclear fuel manufacturing, mechanical design and technology (software + methods + licensing basis + methodology).
