The Program Manager, AP300 will be responsible for overall program management of AP300 SMR development. The AP300 Program manager will work closely with GOS/Nuclear Fuel technical leadership and program leadership to ensure AP300 SMR design and licensing is progressed on time and on budget and meets our customers’ expectations. The Program manager will be responsible for managing engagements with key internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, communication, and project management skills, including but is not limited to planning, scheduling, budgeting, establishment of processes and procedures, as well as coordination with clients/stakeholders and internal Westinghouse teams.

 

Your Day to Day:

  • Working closely with GOS/ Nuclear Fuel technical leadership, ensure detailed development and execution of comprehensive project plans that detail the scope, objectives, timelines, and resources required to successfully develop and licensing AP300 SMR
  • Ensure that project objectives are achieved within the agreed-upon timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Provide oversight and direction to the project managers to champion EPMO best practices and standards.
  • Lead and facilitate communication and collaboration among team members, customer, and external vendors.
  • Evaluate project risks, identify potential issues, and develop risk mitigation strategies to minimize program delays, cost overruns, or quality issues.
  • Promote teamwork and effective communication, including issuing and maintenance of project process metrics and process maps to ensure team, customer, and all stakeholders are kept informed of project status.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and other stakeholders, and promote the company's reputation as a leader in the nuclear industry.
  • Continually assess and evaluate program performance to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as required.
  • Support the business development teams by supporting customer engagements.

 

Who You Are: 

  • Bachelors, Science degree in Engineering or other technical-related area.
  • 10+ years professional experience in Program and Contract management.   
  • PMI Program Manager program certification desired 
  • PMI Project Management Professional certification
  • Strong Program and Contract management skills
  • Track record delivering quality on time and within predictable cost controls
  • Strong analytical thinking capability and business development acumen.
  • General knowledge of nuclear industry and related associations.  
  • AP1000 experience preferred.
  • Organizational experience with planning, budgeting, operations and objectives. 
  • Familiarity with project management software tools (P6, SAP, ARM) and techniques, including Earned Value Management
  • Knowledge of team building, planning techniques, business management principles and practices. 
  • Experience in developing and successfully implementing stakeholder engagement plans in both private and public sectors.
  • Good interpersonal and networking skills, articulate spokesperson.
