The Program Manager, Global Industrial Safety is responsible developing and maintaining programs that support the overall global industrial safety strategy with five Business Units, Global Operating Services (GOS) and Corporate Center. The role works with the facility EHS professionals and cross-functional Site Leadership teams at the 50+ Westinghouse facilities in 19 countries and 5 continents.

 

The primary responsibilities of the Program Manager, Global Industrial Safety are to (i) to develop Westinghouse’s safety programs, standards, training and tools to ensure rigorous compliance to global expectations, (ii) provide execution support and training to ensure sites are compliant with global industrial safety regulations and laws, ((iii) have a culture of continuous improvement with regards to industrial safety, (iv)  provide technical support to the to the Business Units and GOS.

 

This is a US mobile role with a strong preference for a candidate near one of our operating sites - Cranberry Township, PA (HQ), Columbia, SC or Ogden, UT.

 

Your Day to Day:

  • Develop and maintain programs within the global industrial safety management systems inlcuding Policy, Standards and Procedures to drive towards zero safety incidents globally and perform industrial safety internal audits at Westinghouse sites.
  • Responsible for oversight of the global industrial safety compliance program to ensure that Westinghouse is compliant with local, state, and federal environmental regulations
  • Responsible for Project Management for all corporate industrial safety continuous improvement programs.
  • Leads sharing of industrial safety incidents globally to ensure lessons are learned and events are not repeated.
  • Proactively stays current with changes and updates to global regulatory compliance requirements, ensuring appropriate updates to the company policies and procedures
  • Responsible to develop the safety programs associated with Westinghouse’s ESG
  • Supports the development of the industrial safety strategy.
  • Develop internal industrial safety Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s), both leading and lagging.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Responsible to perform/coordinate industrial safety due diligence assessments with potential M&A. Supports the integration of M&A into Westinghouse’s industrial safety program

 

Who You Are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial safety, or related sciences
  • 10 years of experience working at a site responsible for the implementation of an industrial safety program
  • CSP Certification required
  • Knowledge of global industrial safety regulations.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify proper mitigation plans for industrial safety risks identified.
