About the role:
As a Project Controls Specialist - Scheduling Discipline, you will be responsible for a subset of the project controls activities. These activities are for the FH&ES project portfolio, which includes projects with varying complexity, such as LEU+ implementation projects. These projects span multiple organizations within Westinghouse.
You will report to the Resource Operations Manager and work a hybrid schedule based in Cranberry, PA.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cleary communicate required information promptly: Coordinate required tasks/deadlines. Escalate issues, provide early warning of potential issues or potential opportunities to the appropriate levels of management.
- Program initiating and planning processes: Initiate and plan all controls aspects of a project, which we include, establishing project baselines and creating risk registers. Apply tools and techniques to plan work such that you reduce inefficiencies, and optimize overall project performance. Use schedule, cost, and risk analytics to confirm validity of overall program plan. Analyze needs and plan for unique customer satisfaction and project performance metrics.
- Project implementing and controlling processes: Assume overall project responsibility of schedule. Support project managers to ensure projects are delivered within budget. Oversee schedule adherence.
- Maintain understanding of program scope with project goals and make recommendations to modify the program to enhance effectiveness toward the project result or strategic intent.
- Project closing processes: Oversee closure of projects within the program. Communicate opportunities for improvement, lessons learned, and risk avoidance for future work.
- Develop relationships with product line team, customer, suppliers: Serve as project controls contact for internal and external customers to support the successful program execution through completion.
- Align partner (e.g., team, customer, and suppliers) expectations to achieve overall acceptance of Project Controls goals.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree. Applicable disciplines are Project Management, Engineering, Business, Construction Management or related technical discipline.
- Advanced degree in Project Management, Engineering, Business, Accounting, Construction Management or related technical discipline.
- 5+ years project controls experience required. We may consider ten years of experience in a technical/engineering lead role and 5 years of project controls experience equivalent to the ten years of preferred experience.
- Project controls experience in a technical industry such as engineering, manufacturing, nuclear or construction.
- Knowledge and Skill in project schedule tools including Primavera and MS Project
We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $103,200 to $129,000 per year.
