About the role:
As Project Delivery Manager, Cranes – Major Mechanical, you will lead the supply chain strategy, procurement, and delivery of all crane‑related activities within Major Mechanical WBS‑3, supporting both domestic and international projects.
You will be an important cross‑functional partner and collaborate with suppliers, Engineering, and the VCS Startup team. You will align Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, Construction, and Startup organizations and ensure overall equipment readiness.
A critical responsibility of this position is the development of the crane strategy, including support of the VCS GAP analysis to assess refurbishment viability, obsolescence risk, and new procurement needs. This ensures safe, compliant, and schedule‑aligned startup execution.
You will report to the Director of Major Mechanical, Supply Chain and be located at our Cranberry, PA location. This is a hybrid position with 2 days in the office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Be the single contact for all Supply Chain activities related to Major Mechanical Cranes.
- Be the Supply Chain focal point for crane related startup activities for VC Summer Units 3 and 4, embedded within the Startup Team.
- Lead coordination with Engineering, Construction, Quality, Licensing, and Startup to ensure crane equipment readiness.
- Develop and present clear equipment disposition recommendations supported by risk, cost, schedule, and regulatory impact assessments.
- Support proposal development and upcoming business opportunities, as assigned.
- Provide transparent reporting to senior leadership on readiness status, risks, and decisions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Engineering, Business, or related technical discipline required.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as project manager leading and directing low to moderate complexity projects to successful completion.
- We may consider 3 years of project management and 2 years of experience in a technical leadership role.
- 5 years of experience as project manager in a technical industry such as engineering, manufacturing, nuclear or construction.
- PMI Project Management Professional (PMP®) certification or other approved equivalent project management certification preferred.
We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $101,250 to $112,500 per year.
