About the role:

As Project Director for Haiyang 5&6, you will be responsible for the leadership, direction, and execution of a full I&C system delivery for two units of new build CAP1000 reactors in China.

 

You will report to the VP of Asia ICS and ES. This is a mobile position that can be based out of either Cranberry Township, PA or Warrendale, PA.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the execution of Haiyang 5&6 I&C system project which is large scale (~400million USD), highly complex (cross border delivery, FOAK applications, aggressive schedule, demanding customers), multi-year, multi-phase EP project.
  • Lead a team of direct and matrixed delivery personnel that peaks at 150+ full time employees in execution of AP1000 I&C system development & delivery activities for the Haiyang 5&6 contract with guidance of licensing, import/export controls, engineering design, and procurement, supplier management.
  • Manage interface with the client in executing the project, ensure agreement on contract terms, scope, execution strategy for integrated Westinghouse activities
  • Work with the Commercial and Business Development Group to develop offers and contracts that can be executed both to deliver the desired project and be implemented effectively commercially.
  • Manage overall work performance for the project, including scope, cost and schedule compliant with contractual obligations.
  • Lead development of the project supply chain, including meeting localization requirements within contractually required processes, as well as ensuring suppliers ability to deliver against quality and contractual requirements.
  • Work with functional leadership to ensure that needed expertise and numbers of resources are available to support the project in execution of scope within the agreed schedule.
  • Develop and implement necessary project management specific processes to support project execution efficiency and compliance.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in engineering, construction management or project management
  • 15+ years of experience in project management of large I&C delivery projects, including procurement, assembly, test, and site support
  • PMP and/or PgMP certification
  • High level proficiency in mega-project management tools, processes and systems
  • Experience in project management of multi-billion dollar, complex mega-projects
  • Experience tendering for and negotiating multi-billion dollar contracts
  • Broad experience in delivery model implementation across direct project hire, hard matrix, and soft matrix organizational delivery models
  • Extensive nuclear project safety culture, human performance improvement, and quality management system implementation experience
  • Experience executing projects across a broad range of contract types, including fixed price and cost reimbursable/time and materials

 

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $162,000.00 to $202,500.00 per year. In addition to the base pay, this role may be eligible for incentive pay based on company and individual performance.
