About the role:
As a Project Engineering intern, you will gain hands-on experience in the nuclear power industry and contribute to the development of cutting-edge technology.
You will report to the Sr Project Engineering Manager and be located at our Cranberry location. This is a paid, full-time, onsite summer position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the design, development, and implementation of engineering solutions for the AP300 and AP1000 projects
- Support the project engineering team in compiling technical design information and preparing reports
- Work with multiple engineering groups to ensure delivery of engineering commitments
- Participate in project meetings and contribute to discussions on technical challenges and solutions
- Help develop licensing strategies and help fulfill licensing requirements
- Help prepare presentations and documentation for all partners
Qualifications:
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree or master's degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical, civil, or related field)
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- Completed Sophomore year of college
- Interest in the nuclear power industry and nuclear systems and technologies
- Previous internship or project experience in engineering
- Familiarity with nuclear power plant design and operations
- Basic knowledge of project management principles
We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The hourly rate for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $22.69 to $27.50 per hour.
