We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager within our Digital Engineering Services team. This position will be based out of our Cranberry Woods facility This position will be responsible for managing projects within the Digital Engineering Services Organization.  In this role, the Project Manager will support a variety of project disciplines including Software, Data Analytics, Data Science, Engineering, and Information Technology.

 

The selected candidate for this role will be responsible for successful execution of project work including meeting contractual requirements associated with work scopes, managing scope throughout the project lifecycle by leveraging internal processes and toolsets, managing and reporting project risks to stakeholders, communicating resource needs, and interfacing with other administrative or business processes as required.  This includes, but is not limited to, organizing project teams, assigning individual responsibilities, developing project schedules, tracking labor requirements, monitoring and reporting on the status of projects including cost, timing, and staffing; ensuring adherence to internal and external quality standards (e.g., International Standards Organization); identifying/resolving obstacles to completing project on time and to budget.

 

May include work managing multiple, interrelated projects (including business transformation projects). On some projects, the work may include integrating vendor tasks into the project plan and tracking and reviewing vendor deliverables. Responsibilities typically include managing large projects or processes with limited oversight from manager.   

 

Your Day to Day:

  • Complete all aspects of planning process including authoring project plans and developing scope, schedule, and cost baselines.
  • Based on project plan, follow department protocols for acquiring team members as needed to complete the work. Manage all aspects of project including scope, schedule, cost, risk, procurement, quality, resources, communications, and stakeholders.  
  • Interpret and transmit project/contract requirements, and subsequent changes, to functional groups following an integrated change management process.
  • Coordinate project communications ensuring team, customer, and all stakeholders are kept informed of status.
  • Maintain project databases, systems and procedures to ensure efficient handling and transmission of project correspondence and documentation between project team members.
  • Properly close project by archiving work in financial, scheduling, document management, and resource management systems/tools. Perform final project quality assessment and report out. Identify and communicate opportunities for improvement, lessons, and risk avoidance for future work.
  • Utilize interpersonal skills to cultivate positive relationships with team, customer, and other stakeholders (e.g. internal management) to facilitate successful project completion as well as identify opportunities for additional business growth.
  • Identify, assess, and implement improvement opportunities which will add value.

 

Who You Are:

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Applicable disciplines are Project Management, Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related technical discipline.
    • Advanced degree in Project Management, Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or Business preferred.
  • 5 years project management experience required.
    • 5-10 years project management experience in software, data science, nuclear, or energy industry preferred.
  • PMP Certification required
  • Familiar with the Project Management Institute’s Project Management Body of Knowledge.

  • Strong interpersonal skills such as effective verbal and written communications, ability to lead team members, able to develop relationships with internal stakeholders, able to make decisions and carry out multiple tasks as assigned with minimal guidance from supervisory project managers and mentors.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office tools. Knowledge and skill of project scheduling and cost management.
  • Demonstrated ability or understanding of the transformation of data to information for visual reports; database concepts in order to manage data within systems; the interaction of company functions that are touch points to projects (Finance, Legal, Quality, Supply Chain, etc.). 
  • High-quality presentation skills.
  • Will be expected to complete assigned training in Westinghouse Systems, Procedures, and Policies applicable to assignments.
