The Retirement Analyst focuses on the day-to-day operation of the company’s retirement programs.  The role will also assist team with project implementation, communications & compliance. The Analyst will work closely with payroll, HR, finance, and outside vendors to ensure effective, compliant plans that meet the needs of the company and employees. This is US Remote role.

 

Your Day to Day:

  • Lead day to day retirement benefits administration and act as primary contact for plan vendors.
  • Partner with outside vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve participant issues, streamline processes, ensure data integrity, and improve participant experiences.
  • Partner with payroll and HR teams to ensure accurate and timely processing of transactions.
  • Perform various reporting and data analysis tasks in a timely manner, support internal and external audit requests, and assist with retirement-related calculations as needed
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of retirement plans and ensure that administration is in line with Plan Document.
  • Support IRS/DOL compliance activities (governance, HCE determination, non-discrimination testing, gov’t. filings, premium payments, etc.), assist with annual Form 5500 filings and financial statement preparation, and assist with annual US pension valuation data process
  • Support and coordinate ongoing employee communication efforts and required notices (SPDs, SARs, plan statements, funding notices, fee disclosures, enrollment materials, etc.).
  • Document and maintain administrative procedures and provide suggestions for continuous improvements. 
  • Create and maintain knowledge base documents.
  • Lead or support other special retirement projects, as needed (pension lump sum windows, pension risk transfers, M&A activity, 401(k) plan termination, etc.).
  • Assist with non-US plans as necessary. Reconcile invoices and track spending, reconcile plan contributions and interface questions, and submit funding requests.
  • Coordinate and assist with fiduciary meeting planning and setup.

 

Who You Are:

  • BA/BS in Business, Accounting, Finance, or other related analytical degree
  • No experience is required, up to 3 years of deferred compensation experience preferred (defined benefit and/or non-US experience a plus)
  • CEBS or ASPPA designation preferred
  • Analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Project management skills, high attention to detail, organized and able to quickly transition between multiple tasks.
  • Well-developed communication skills, creativity, and independence
  • Proficiency with Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Also, should have familiarity with SAP, ADP, and other vendor systems
