Senior Supervisory Engineer - Plant Integration (Hybrid)

About the role:

As a Senior Supervisory Engineer for Plant Integration, you will be part of the Plant Engineering group in the Global Engineering Services organization. The primary roles within include nuclear plant site layout, equipment, piping and HVAC layout, seismic interaction assessments, internal/external missile assessments, fuel handling and material handling equipment and tooling design, commodity clearance evaluations, flooding evaluations and other hazard protection evaluations.  You will provide broad-ranging experience of advanced nuclear plant designs including interfaces with systems, equipment, structures, and physical plant arrangement. 

You will report to the Manager of Plant Engineering. This is a hybrid position based in either Cranberry Woods, PA or Rock Hill, SC. No relocation will be provided. We can entertain candidates who can work without sponsorship indefinitely.

Responsibilities:

• Support design, fabrication, construction, and maintenance of large-scale nuclear and non-nuclear projects

• Technical coordination between business areas to ensure plant design meets design parameters, requirements, and reduces potential for physical layout conflicts between commodities

• Physical arrangement assessments of nuclear island structures, equipment, piping, commodities, and supports using 3D design software

• Read and interpret engineering drawings and criteria documents

• Work with the Westinghouse proprietary digital design architecture (NEXUS) to author, review and verify engineering designs and conduct in-depth reviews of 3D model and plant designs

• Prepare reports to satisfy applicable regulatory, code, and contract requirements

• Engineering support to design, fabrication, and construction organizations including responding requests for information (RFI), design changes, and deviations working with engineers in different departments and global work locations

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience

• Bachelors of Science in Engineering (Civil/Structural or Mechanical Engineer). 

• 8+ years of experience including leadership that may or may not include global teams

• 3D design software (SolidWorks, Inventor)

• Motivated to pursue Engineer in Training (EIT) Certification and Professional Engineering licensure (PE)

• Desire for continuous development w/ high personal investment in development
