About the role:
As a Senior Cost/Pricing Strategy Manager, Advanced Reactors, you will lead the pricing strategy across the Advanced Reactors portfolios. You will guide the development of standardized cost frameworks, predictive cost insights, and commercially-aligned pricing structures that support bids, make-buy decisions, value-driven economic positioning, and sustainable program strategy. Partnering with engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, program management, APx Commercial Operations, and finance you will ensure cost and pricing intelligence directly informs product design and investment decisions.
You will report to the Chief Technology Officer. You will work a hybrid schedule, based in Etna, PA.
Key Responsibilities:
Cost Strategy & Governance
Define standardized cost frameworks, work breakdown structures (WBS), and end-to-end data governance for Advanced Reactors.
Maintain standardized, traceable cost data and lead cost reviews, gating readiness for program milestones.
Guide transformation in cost practices from manual data maintenance toward integrated, lifecycle-based systems.
Estimate & Modeling Leadership
Direct development of bottom-up (BOM, routing, labor standards, tooling, special processes) and top-down/parametric cost models.
Oversee should cost analyses for important commodities and specialized components.
Guide modeling of NPI learning curves, yield improvement trajectories, and capacity/throughput scenarios for pilot and scaled production to interpret cost drivers.
Ensure modeling outputs integrate with program controls, sourcing strategies, and commercial goals.
Strategic Pricing & Commercial Structuring
Collaborate with APx Commercial Operations to develop competitive, value-aligned pricing strategies.
Support in the leadership of commercial assessments for major bids, including valuation modeling and customer economics.
Conduct global competitive pricing analyses to identify differentiators.
Support development of financial packages with corporate finance and external financing agencies.
Design to Cost & Value Engineering
Partner with engineering establish cost targets and evaluate design trade-offs.
Facilitate DFM/DFA discussions and measure cost impacts.
Guide value engineering to improve lifecycle economics.
Supplier & Manufacturing Integration
Collaborate with Supply Chain on target pricing, supplier negotiations, and cost structure validation.
Validate manufacturing routings, cycle times, and test operations with Operations and Quality, including special process costs and nuclear-grade QA requirements.
Program Controls & Forecasting
Integrate cost models with program schedules and earned value metrics to maintain forward-looking visibility into program economics.
Provide executive-ready dashboards and scenario analysis exploring sourcing strategy, insource vs. outsource, schedule acceleration impacts.
Provide recommendations that influence program direction and performance.
Compliance & Auditability
Ensure adherence to nuclear‑industry standards for traceability, auditability, and configuration control.
Promote data ownership across teams.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, Finance, Supply Chain, or related field
MBA helpful
10+ Years of experience
Experience in cost estimating, pricing, and commercial strategy with comfort using Artificial Intelligence
Demonstrated expertise with should‑cost modeling, parametric estimation, and detailed manufacturing cost builds.
Experience with ERP/MRP and PLM systems.

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $144,000 to $180,000 per year.
