About the Role:
The Resource Demand Planning Analyst will support the APX resource Demand Planning process by transforming complex, disconnected data sources into reliable demand insights. This role will collect, merge, validate, and analyze data from multiple inputs to create a consolidated view of future resource demand, supply alignment, capacity risks, and emerging trends.
The analyst will develop leadership dashboards, recurring reports, and analytical views that enable business leaders, resource managers, human resources, and finance partners to understand demand changes, identify capacity constraints, and make timely staffing, prioritization, and investment decisions. This position requires strong data management capability, analytical curiosity, and the ability to communicate complex information in a clear, actionable format.
This position reports to the APX Demand Planning Sr-Manager and will be a hybrid role located out of either Rock Hill, SC or Cranberry Township, PA.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Integration and Management: Gather, merge, and maintain complex datasets from multiple systems, templates, and stakeholder inputs to create a consolidated and accurate resource demand profile.
- Data Quality and Validation: Identify gaps, inconsistencies, duplicate records, formatting issues, and data integrity concerns; work with data owners to resolve errors and improve confidence in the demand signal.
- Demand Analysis: Analyze resource demand across business units, projects, disciplines, roles, and time horizons to identify trends, anomalies, risks, and significant month-over-month changes.
- Leadership Dashboard Development: Design, build, and maintain interactive dashboards and recurring reports that provide leadership with clear visibility to demand, supply, capacity gaps, forecast changes, and key resource risks.
- Forecast and Scenario Support: Support rolling demand forecasts, long-range planning, and what-if scenarios to evaluate staffing needs, outsourcing requirements, resource constraints, and business plan agreement.
- Monthly Review Support: Prepare charts, visuals, variance summaries, and talking points for monthly demand reviews, leadership meetings, and resource agreement discussions.
- Process Improvement: Recommend improvements to data collection methods, reporting standards, governance routines, and dashboard automation to reduce manual effort and improve planning accuracy.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, data analytics, engineering, supply chain, finance, information systems, or a related field required.
- Minimum of 5–8 years of experience in data analysis, resource planning, demand planning, workforce planning, business operations, or a related analytical role preferred.
- Demonstrated experience working with complex datasets, including data extraction, cleansing, transformation, reconciliation, and validation across multiple source systems.
- Proficiency with data analysis and visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Power Query, or similar platforms.
- Ability to translate detailed data into concise leadership insights, executive-ready visuals, and practical recommendations.
- Challenge assumptions respectfully, and lead agreement between business demand and available supply.
Beneficial:
- Experience supporting SIOP, resource demand planning, workforce capacity planning, or project portfolio planning process
- Experience developing automated reporting, capacity heatmaps, variance reports, trend analysis, or executive dashboards.
We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $85,200 to $106,500 per year.
