The Quality and Additive Manufacturing (AM) Leader is responsible for developing and deploying a robust market-based Technology & Product roadmap that will enable growth for Westinghouse across its global customer base. This will be achieved through overall leadership of the Quality and Additive Manufacturing activities within WEC GOS with a focus on overall Quality improvements, process enhancements, defect tracking, reporting, customer interface and the creation of AM technical excellence, research and development, manufacturing, product development and deployment. This role will serve as a member of the Global Operating Services (GOS) Leadership team and report to the EVP of GOS. Global Operations Services organization is comprised of Global Manufacturing, Global Supply Chain and Global Engineering functions.The successful candidate will achieve results through an entrepreneurial mindset, strong commercial acumen built on a foundation of in-depth domain knowledge of the Additive Manufacturing process and its applications. 

 

Your Day-to-Day:

  • Lead, develop and implement Quality programs and standards to reduce escaping defects, reduce COPQ, drive synergies between facilities, and promote the QEHS vision

  • Leads development of the Additive Manufacturing offering/Product by building a compelling business case, consulting with the commercial business unit teams and Customer Sales Teams to develop and deploy value added AM/3D products to the nuclear industry.  Develops and executes an AM business plan integrated with organizational business plans

  • Establish a strong and sustaining governance structure and ensures the inclusion of all key stakeholders and the effective implementation of changes considering product and services differences, geographical/regulatory differences, implementation of customer requirements, and performance needs/expectations.  Ensure ongoing alignment on operational changes with GOS leadership and other key stakeholders

  • Develop and drive the global standardization of processes across business segments to ensure common utilization of best practices for Quality and Environmental programs in both products and services groups

  • Driving speed and agility around Quality and regulatory Compliance, and reduce risk in Quality, Environmental Health and Safety areas

  • Partners with the Global Manufacturing organization to design, manufacture, post-process and deploy AM products and services

  • Delivers gold standard project management skills by executing AM related product development and collaboration opportunities within scope, schedule, budget and quality expectations

  • Demonstrates domain expertise and thought leadership by embedding broad Additive Manufacturing/3D industry knowledge and developing/maintaining functional skills across the organization to support business plan needs

  • Manages and develops a small group of professionals accountable for the organizational development, deployment, design, production, R&D and training of AM products and services

  • Proactively supports the Business Unit sales and product teams in sourcing and executing opportunities with customers

  • Partners with Supply Chain to build out value stream with defining and executing 3rd party suppliers/partners to support competitive market based products/offerings

  • Develops the Additive Manufacturing Technology roadmap with foundational strategic/domain input combined with market intelligence gained through partnership with the Business units

 

Who You Are:

As a successful candidate, you will bring the following to the team:

  • 10+ yrs. experience directly related to Quality and Additive Manufacturing / Rapid Prototyping, 3D Printing

  • BS Degree in Engineering, MBA or equivalent preferred

  • 5 + years of management experience

  • Nuclear Industry Experience desired

  • Demonstrated experience in customer interaction and AM product development

  • Demonstrated ability to work within a global organization, to effectively manage interfaces at all levels and to create value and achieve buy-in among a diverse workforce

  • Demonstrated persuasion, influence and change management leadership in facilitating and driving global, company-wide change in a fast-paced and transformation environment

  • Strong relationship-building characteristics balanced with tenacity, results driven and challenging attitude

  • Lead by example with high standards of entrepreneurial behaviors, performance, accountability and ownership

  • Project management skills & demonstrated results leading successful projects required. PMI or equivalent certifications desired but not required
