Senior - Project Engineer

 Your Day-to-Day:

• Assist various discipline leads in the execution of design work packages in support of the design of a Small Modular Reactor, including schedule and budget (labor hours) tracking and reporting to Project Management Leads. 
• Develop effective working relationships across organizational boundaries and with Customers.
• Develop flexible project plans for existing and new scopes of work, including schedule and budget activities
• For each discipline assigned, provide Project Management with weekly schedule and budget updates
• Work with discipline technical leads to understand design challenges and provide input to the development of efficient solutions
• Capture lessons learned at work package closeout and implement best practices
• Support preparation of technical resolution paths of emergent issues related to design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and operation
• Understand and leverage Westinghouse expertise across different functional disciplines and global work locations
• Develop decision making skills that meet project technical, commercial, and schedule needs
• Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills to interface with peers and management, including delivering presentations and regular updates to internal and external stakeholders
• Drive results while exhibiting flexibility and adaptability to lead efforts in support of critical path schedule activities for project milestones, while concurrently managing many tasks
• Travel requirements: 10-20% as needed

Who You Are:

As a successful candidate, you will bring the following to the team:

•  Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent.  Civil Engineer preferred.
• Minimum 2 years applicable engineering experience required
• Knowledge of the design and operation of pressurized water reactor (PWR) plants is a plus. 
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Experience in making presentations and facilitating meetings.
