About the role:
As Senior Manager, Xudapu Offshore Project Management and Operations, you will lead the project delivery (through closeout) of the offshore Xudapu I&C project operations. You will have a multi-functional role responsible for building an optimized delivery strategy around key areas and guiding the supporting project team in those areas.
You will report to the Sr. Director of Major Projects, Asia ICS. This is a remote role that can be performed from anywhere in the United States.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the delivery of all offshore I&C delivery and support the overall delivery both offshore and onshore. This includes oversight of offshore units, including overall management forecasting and reporting (revenue, margin, cost, schedule, risk, etc).
- Oversee the development and execution of technical program/project management best practices/templates and provide training/mentoring to project teams monitoring dependencies across multiple inter-related technical scopes
- Gather and report consolidated project status and financial information to leadership
- Ensure rigorous commercial and contract management to protect Westinghouse interests
- Foster environment to build strong customer relationships while also ensuring Westinghouse commercial success
- Engage on critical issues as needed to ensure timely closeout and communication/alignment with customer leadership teams
- May require extended or off-normal hour support based upon the nature of critical issues
- Responsible for planning, organizing, and controlling resources, procedures, and timing for administrative and business processes including:
- Organize project teams, assigning individual responsibilities, developing project schedules, and determining resource requirements Monitoring and reporting on the status of projects including cost, timing, and staffing
- Ensure adherence to internal and external quality standards
- Identify/resolve obstacles to completing project on time and within budget.
- May include managing multiple, interrelated projects
- Oversee the integration of vendor tasks into the project plan and tracking and reviewing vendor deliverables
- Responsible for short term execution of functional strategy and the operational direction of the offshore Xudapu project team
- Ensure safety and quality are the primary focus on all project activities
- Execute and lead new Xudapu support contracts and other critical issues as they arise
- Own select critical issues and drive to closure while reporting accordingly at various levels
- Ensure strategic initiatives are properly staffed (by matrixed resources), managed, and tracked accordingly to ensure progress
- Ensure schedule and financial commitments are tracked and attained with a focus on risk and opportunity management
- Actively manage open items on the project to ensure actions plans are in place and being executed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Project Management, or related technical field.
- 10+ years of progressive experience leading large, complex I&C (or other engineering, procurement, and construction) projects in the nuclear industry
- 15+ years of progressive, combined technical and/or project experience on complex I&C applications
- 8+ years of experience with the AP1000 systems to be installed at Xudapu 1&2
- PMI Project Management Professional (PMP®) certification
- Westinghouse Program Manager qualification
- Understanding of nuclear I&C systems, applications, and processes
- Ability to travel up to 25%, including internationally
We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $144,000.00 to $180,000.00 per year.
