Supervisor - Platform Engineering

As a Supervisor - Platform Engineering, you will lead the engineering team. This team is responsible for the implementation, modernization, and lifecycle management of enterprise platform services. These services include Windows Server, Active Directory, Certificate Services, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and Configuration Management. You will work within a Design-Build-Run operating model, you will lead Platform Engineering, ensuring understanding between strategy, engineering delivery, and operational readiness across Windows server and associated infrastructure technologies.

You will report to the Manager of Platform Services and be located at Cranberry Township, PA. Hybrid work schedule. Work from home 2 days a week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Team Leadership & Delivery Management

  • Prioritize, balance workloads, and coordinate resources across projects, and operational commitments.

  • Conduct development planning, and performance reviews for direct reports.

  • Foster a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, ownership, and continuous improvement.

  Platform Engineering & Enablement

  • Lead completion of technology improvements, upgrades, refreshes, migrations, and technical debt reduction efforts.

  • Implement standardized build, deployment, automation, and configuration practices.

  Engineering Standards and Continuous Improvement

  • Ensure engineering solutions follow established platform standards, industry best practices, and applicable security, compliance, supportability, resiliency, and operational requirements..

  • Increase adoption of automation-first methodologies that improve consistency, efficiency, scalability, and quality.

  Service Transition & Operational Readiness

  • Partner with Platform Operations teams to ensure successful transition of new and modified services into production.

  • Contribute to incident reviews, problem investigations, and implementation of corrective actions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science or similar applicable degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent experience

• 5+ years of IT experience IT infrastructure, with 4 years in lead/managerial roles

• Demonstrated leadership of technical teams, including direct reports and project-based teams.

• Demonstrated ability in process management, automation, and continuous improvement.

• Experience implementing new capabilities, technologies, and improvements.

• Familiarity with security, compliance, audit, and governance requirements.

• Understanding of IT service management (ITSM) principles, with emphasis on change management, operational readiness, and service transition.

• Understanding of IT infrastructure principles, capabilities, and architecture.

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $116,800 to $146,000 $ per year.
