About the role:
As a Supervisory Lead Nuclear Safety Analysis Engineer you will serve as technical lead of large and/or complex safety analysis projects.
You will report to the Engineering Manager of Loss of Coolant Accident Safety Analysis (LOCA) and be located at Global Headquarters in Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania. The position is Hybrid; you will work a mix of on-site and remote days, typically within the same week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as Tech Lead for large and/or complex technical projects
- Serve as overall Tech Lead for a category of large engineering projects
- Lead teams internally
- Support emergent issues; act as point of contact; customer interface
- Serve as Technical Specialist for one or more sub-disciplines
- Serve as Subject Matter Expert in a product area
- Develop and lead technical training in critical product areas
- Identify and lead technical improvement and development initiatives
- Work with manager and supervisory engineer on promotions, personnel development, skill advancements and team sizing
- Represent Westinghouse in regulatory and industry meetings
- Work with supervisory engineer on proposal development
- Coordinate cross-departmental engineering activities/efforts
- Provide input to performance reviews
- Identify and solicit improvements for product area, lead improvement initiatives
Qualifications:
- Minimum 10+ years of applicable Nuclear Plant Safety Analysis experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Nuclear, Mechanical, Chemical)
