Technical Lead - SAP

As an SAP Technical Lead you will provide strategic technical leadership across SAP platforms, ensuring stable operations, guiding solution design, and developing and maintaining procedures related to application code standards and technical monitoring. This role partners closely with process leads, architects, Basis, integration teams, functional analysts, and project management to ensure delivery of high‑quality SAP solutions that align with Westinghouse standards and business needs.
You will report to the SAP Operations, Analytics and CRM. This is a remote position.
Key Responsibilities:

Partner with the SAP Operations Supervisor, SAP Architects, and Basis.

Lead to schedule yearly technical support activities. These activities include system installations, patches, upgrades, disaster recovery testing, and system refreshes. They are necessary to ensure compatibility of SAP software/hardware and to keep WEC up to date on current releases. This includes non-SAP software used by the SAP Technical Center, including OpenText ALM Quality Center, and Unified Function Testing.

Translate and ensure that Westinghouse business processes and requirements are in consideration of SAP technical solutions.

Review technical solution designs and technical specifications.

Maintain standards for SAP application code including use of SAP's ABAP Test Cockpit.

Lead efforts to analyze, determine root cause, and correct SAP transactions and programs which require performance tuning. Coordinate resolution with SAP process leads, business representatives and IBM AMS team.

Develop procedures for reviewing SAP Early watch reports. Identify when to take actions under certain conditions and when to escalate.

Develop procedures for Technical Monitoring and Data Volume Management.

Plan and coordinate yearly disaster recovery testing.

Coordinate with IT infrastructure as it pertains to SAP including system outages, servers, firewalls and networks.
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent technical experience.

5+ years of professional experience, with 5+ years of information technology experience
-
3-5 years of technical experience with SAP solutions including NetWeaver and cloud-based applications.

Technical leadership role on at least two full lifecycle implementations of SAP applications involving NetWeaver based solutions is preferred.

Technical leadership role on at least two implementations of SAP application integrations with cloud-based solutions is preferred.

Experience designing and supporting SAP solution for a global enterprise.

Experience with new SAP installations, upgrades, and support/enhancement package updates, and performance tuning, system monitoring, back-ups and capacity planning.

Experience in the administration and support of multiple system environments and landscapes involving ECC 6, Business Warehouse, HANA, Enterprise Portal, Solution Manager, Process Integrator, and other SAP technologies.

Must have a working knowledge of infrastructure technologies, like Vmware, Windows, and Linux.
We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $116,000 to $142,000 per year.
