In this high visibility, high impact senior leadership role you will make your mark on the global clean energy transition. Westinghouse’s Vice President, Global Communications is responsible for advancing the company’s brand and reputation among customers, investors, media, employees, and other stakeholders. The global leader drives all aspects of internal and external communications & strategies, including innovative strategic brand campaigns, media relations, issues/crisis management, digital/social communications, and corporate giving.

 

The Vice President, Global Communications will interact with the entire C-Suite and act as a strong ambassador for the brand continuously finding ways to advance our presence globally. The leader will also have an excellent track-record of successes over the course of their career and leading global communication teams and will ensure that Westinghouse’s Communications function operates at a best-in-class level with a focus on a proactive, modern, and collaborative approach.  There is a preference for a candidate that can work a Mobile/Hybrid schedule tied to our Cranberry Township, PA HQ office or in Washington, DC office,

 

Your Day to Day:

  • Develop and deploy strategic campaigns and an innovative communications strategy to establish and advance Westinghouse’s brand globally.
  • Oversee and lead a talented global Communications team encompassing both internal and external areas of expertise.
  • Drive strategy for CEO communications, with externally facing media channels, that builds the company’s reputation with key stakeholders that can mobilize quickly in anticipation of events that may affect the business.
  • Serve as a key business partner to the Westinghouse executive staff in all facets of communications and branding.
  • Deliver an integrated strategy for external content in support of technology deployment, large bids and commercial successes.
  • Build and maintain relationships with media contacts and develop proactive messaging to shape coverage around issues that matter.
  • Identify creative communications opportunities and evolving issues for global businesses.
  • Bring forward new ideas and creative ways to execute media activity that support business goals.
  • Drive a modernized approach to digital and social media engagement.
  • Develop creative approaches to employee engagement that supports engagement goals.
  • Intentionally build a talent pipeline that ensures continued success and excellence of Westinghouse’s Communication department in the future

 

Who You Are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing communications, journalism. Master’s preferred.
  • 15 years or more of progressive experience in related fields
  •  Exceptional written, verbal and presentation skills and the ability to communicate/collaborate effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Proven track record and passion for applying communications tools and digital technology.
  • Experience in providing ongoing data management and campaign performance reporting.
  • Experience in corporate communications, brand management, social media content and engagement.
  • Ability to quickly generate quality content for a variety of platforms (e.g., digital marketing, social media, thought leadership, product promotion and advancement, etc.).
  • Working knowledge and application of AP writing style
  • Demonstrated leadership experience with proven ability to work across international regions and cultures.
  • Must possess strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Must be adaptive, flexible, and able to function effectively in a highly complex global environment with a proven ability to multi-task within a fast-paced environment
