eVinci Fuel Analysis Engineer
 

Job Responsibilities Day-to-Day:

In this position the eVinci Fuel Analysis Engineer will be working with the advanced fuel engineering team, including the eVinciTM Micro Reactor project team, to support modeling and simulation activities and can expect to be responsible for the following:

  • Perform modeling and analysis of advanced reactor fuel, including thermal, stress/mechanical, and failure analysis, using a variety of engineering tools and methods. Develop documentation related to these calculations and analyses
  • Work with cross functional teams (i.e. system and component design, testing, manufacturing, materials, etc.) to solve challenging technical problems to progress the eVinci Micro Reactor and design
  • Interface with technical leads and project managers in coordination of activities associated with assigned work scope
  • Occasional travel to vendors, contractors, testing sites, etc., as needed to support development activities

Who You Are:
As a successful candidate, you will bring the following to the team:

  • BS Degree in Nuclear Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or recognized equivalent required
  • Masters or PhD Degree in Nuclear Engineering or Mechanical Engineering desired
  • Experience with advanced fuel (TRISO or other) modeling or MOOSE/Bison modeling preferred
  • Experience with fuel testing, licensing, code benchmarking, and code V&V preferred
  • Analytical skills, critical thinking, attention to detail and excellent communication skills including technical writing required
  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple projects and tasks within an innovative development program
